Changes & cancellations

Customers wishing to change or cancel their booking must refer to their booking confirmation for full details. Change fees and charges may apply. Depending on how you booked your flight, you may be able to change your booking on-line, or by contacting our Call Centre.

If your flight booking is part of an inclusive tour package, or was booked through a travel agent, or tour operator, please contact them directly to change your booking. Please click here to see the Terms and Conditions which apply to booking made through this website.


Thomsonfly.com booking changes

The following conditions apply to ‘Flight Only’ passengers who have booked via the Thomsonfly.com website:

Changes to the date and time of your flight
If you wish to change your departure day or flight time, you can do this up to 3 hours before the planned departure time (subject to Call Centre opening hours) subject to the payment of the relevant change fees, as detailed when making your booking.
  • For Scheduled flights: changes to date and time of travel will incur a charge of GBP15/EUR25 per passenger per segment plus any increase between the original and prevailing fare.
  • For Charter flights: changes to date or time of travel will incur admin charges. If you are outside of 50 days before travel you will lose 50% from your original total booking cost (including any extra facilities you may have added on). Further deductions are as follows: Within 21-49 days 70%loss, within 8-20 days 90% loss, within 7 days of travel you will have lost the entire cost of your booking. If you would like the extra facilities on your new booking these will need to be paid for again.
  • Scheduled routes have booking reference numbers made up of a mixture of letters and numbers and will be 6 digits long.
  • Chartered/package flights have booking reference numbers made up of all numbers from 4 to 7 digits long.
Changes to passenger names
The passenger details on our reservations system (the passenger's name) must be exactly the same as the valid photo ID.

If you wish to change the name of the passenger taking the flight, you can do this up to 3 hours before the planned departure time (subject to Call Centre opening hours). You will be charged a £25 / EUR40 fee per person per flight for making the change. If the price of the new booking is higher than your original fare paid, you are obliged to pay the difference. If the new fare is lower than your original fare paid, we regret that we cannot refund the difference.

If you have just married and changed your name, please show your marriage certificate at the check-in desk as proof of your identity. There is no additional charge in this case.

Non-transferable flight reservation
Depending on your route your reservation may be transferred up to 3 hours before scheduled departure, but will be subject to our standard fees. Charter/package flight date changes can only be made more than 7 days before departure due to the 100% loss within 7 days. If you cannot travel on your booked flight, your reservation cannot be transferred to another person to fly in your place unless you call our Call Centre on 0870 1900 737 at least 3 hours before your scheduled departure time, and pay a £25 / EUR40 fee per passenger per flight to change the passenger's name. If the price of the new booking is higher than your original fare paid, you are also obliged to pay the difference. If the new fare is lower than your original fare paid, we regret that we cannot refund the difference. Please note that auctioning/resale is not permitted.

0800 to 2100 UK Time Monday to Friday
0900 to 1900 UK Time Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays

Missed flights
It is your responsibility to get to the airport in good time before departure and there is no refund available for passengers who miss their flights. If you do miss the flight you will have to make a new booking and pay the corresponding amount. You can do this at the airport desk.

We recommend that you leave home with plenty of time to ensure that you are at the airport at least 2 – 3 hours before the scheduled departure time.

If you miss your flight we cannot take responsibility for you making your onward connections. Such bookings are entirely at your own risk.

Re-scheduling of flights
We reserve the right to change our schedule, but will notify you if such a change is necessary.

If the schedule change is more than 3 hours after the original booked flight time, we will offer you an alternative flight, but appreciate that this may not suit your arrangements. If this alternative flight is not acceptable to you, we will give you a full refund, including all fees.

Normally we will advise you of any changes to your flight at least 2 weeks before you are due to travel, however there may be exceptional reasons why this is not possible, such as strike situations or airport closures.
