Bus |
Both private ‘combi-buses’ and public buses serve the airport. The combi-buses are like shared taxis. Book your journey at the small kiosk outside the terminal and follow the driver to the mini bus. The public bus stop is just outside the airport exit. For the Marina and Hotel Strip, take the bus labelled ‘Centro.’ When returning, buses labelled ‘Ixpata’, ‘Juntas’ and ‘Las Palmas’ all stop at the airport. Public buses are only recommended if you’re travelling light. |

Taxi |
Two taxi companies serve the airport and have vehicles in all shapes and sizes. Prices vary depending on the time of day and your destination. Head to the small kiosk outside the terminal to pay for your journey. You’ll be given a ticket which you then hand to the driver. You can leave the airport and flag down a cab on the highway. It will be slightly cheaper as the driver won’t have to pay airport taxes, but agree the price before setting off. |

There are several international car hire companies based in and around the airport. Due to local taxes, it is cheaper to book a car in advance or to rent from an office not based within the airport. The airport is just off Highway 200. From the airport, head south on this road for the Marina and the Hotel Zones. Head north for Nuevo Vallarta and Bucerias. |
